Description
This picture needed to get done. I had to keep telling myself, "David, don't release one image before the other; you said you were gonna release it as a double, and that's just what you're gonna do!" So I did. First, let me apologize to all my new friends whose characters do not appear in this picture; the idea was conceived long ago. Yes, this picture has been in the works since a few weeks before Halloween. Dang it, I couldn't even get it done for Christmas or the New Year! But, it was a challenging and experimental venture; my new method for coloring and shading didn't quite work as I expected, and the bright, out of place pixels can testify to that.
Now, for a brief summary of what's going on. In the left panel you see Shankar, William, and NoBody, obviously not being careful about the houses they approach. They flee, not knowing that the sack Hideous offers them is filled with delectable candied apples. Poor guy! He spent all day slaving over those apples and has had no takers. Maybe someday he'll find a better way of presenting things... or maybe not show up to the door in a pink apron. Oh well!
In the right panel we have Shaw, Cory, and Nishi beginning their operation: "Get Ruby Back". Shaw has had enough of that pesky rabbit's reign of terror and plans to strike back swiftly, justly, and septically. He's cooperated with two distinct and twisted minds: his good pal, Nishi, and a new mind, Coronado, a born jokester. Nishi doesn't seem too happy about his role, however.
I've listed the owner's icons in the order (left to right) their characters appear in the diptych. Since Hideous is right above my character, William, I'll just go ahead and tell you he belongs to *zimeta08. Oh, and Ruby, seen here only as a silhouette, belongs to ~ShawYay

Wow, this is well done. I like how you did a diptych. I use to do those in school, that and triptychs. They were a lot of work, but fun at the same time.
I like your attention to detail and the expressions. Golly~~~<3 I like the lighting. You did really well on that. There is so much to look at, my my, it must have taking you eons just to sketch it out let alone colour and shade it! Sheesh, that's amazing.
